It consists of 98 % Merlot and 2 % Cabernet Franc, aged in 60 % new barriques. Dark, rich colour. The Domaine de l’Eglise smells dense and dark-fruited, fleshy and full, with a fine play of cherry and berry extract sweetness, very relaxed and fresh, very deep and multi-faceted. Dense, rich and intense, it has a very coherent, round structure in the mouth, concentrated and unagitated, with excellent intensity and fullness. Deep, long and of one piece, the Domaine de l’Eglise presents itself very rich, liqueur-like and fresh. Its fine-grained tannins are gentle and offer welcome strength while supporting the aromatic expression of the finish, which they stretch thanks to the very fine bitters.
